PILATES IS A VERY LOW IMPACT FORM OF EXERCISE THAT TARGETS THE
MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT.

PILATES CAN BE ENJOYED BY MEN AND WOMEN OF ALL AGES AND LEVELS OF FITNESS.


PILATES WAS DEVELOPED IN THE 1920's BY JOSEPH PILATE AS A FORM OF PHYSICAL THERAPY.  IT QUICKLY GAINED POPULARITY BECAUSE OF VAST IMPROVEMENTS SEEN IN HEALTH, FITNESS AND RECOVERY FROM INJURY.  IN RECENT YEARS IT HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY POPULAR AMONG PEOPLE WITH BACK ISSUES, OR THOSE WHO WANT TO RELAX AND TONE MUSCLE.  PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES HAVE ALSO TURNED TO PILATES AND HAVE SEEN GREAT IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR PERFORMANCE.  PILATES COMPLEMENTS ALL FORMS OF EXERCISE.

I DESIGNED A PROGRAM THAT WORKS ALL AREAS OF THE BODY USING ITS OWN RESISTANCE.  I FOCUS ON THE PILATES DEEP BREATHING TECHNIQUE WITH EVERY MOVEMENT.  THE WHOLE ROUTINE IS DONE ON YOUR EXERCISE MAT AND IS COMPLETED IN 30 MINUTES.  TO SEE THE BEST RESULTS YOU SHOULD COMPLETE THE ROUTINE AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES EVERY WEEK.

PILATES FOCUSES ON THE QUALITY OF EACH MOVEMENT, NOT QUANTITY.  MY ROUTINE DOES NOT CHANGE. INSTEAD, I WILL HELP YOU LEARN PROPER BREATHING AND CONTROL WITH MODIFICATIONS FOR EACH MOVEMENT.
